Does your boat seem slower?
The two most common cause for loss of top end speed are prop and hull condition.
1. Check your hull- algae growth or build up will slow you down- you are dragging natures version of a shag carpet. Not only do you loose speed but fuel efficiency too. This is especially true for pontoon boats.
2. Prop condition- damaged prop blades, including bent blades are the biggest culprit for top end speed loss on bass boats. Don’t worry you don’t necessarily have to a purchase a new prop if this happens. Many props can be reworked/repaired for a fraction of the replacement cost.
